Jindra Žáková: Ties

Knot tying used to be an essential skill that everyone was expected to master. Today, however, knots are often seen only as part of leisure activities – scouting, climbing, or sailing. Yet their importance can be crucial. We see extreme situations where lives are at stake on our screens every day – but are we truly prepared for them?

Our existence has both a tangible and an abstract side. What are we really hanging on to? What holds us when things get tough? In this workshop, we will learn one of the essential knots – the kind that can truly support us in a moment of crisis.

We will find our way to the knot through a fairy tale about a princess and a dragon. After all, that too is about survival, determination, and strong bonds. Come and try it – with your hands, your mind, and your imagination.

The workshop will be led by art educator and long-time scout Jindra Žáková.
