Weronika Zalewska (PL)

Weronika Zalewska – born in 1994 in Ostrów Wielkopolski, Poland. Transmedia artist, poet, Dutch Art Institute student working and living in Warsaw. Graduate of the Media Art Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (MA) and the Multimedia Department of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent, Belgium (BA). She creates through text, sound, video and collaborative action, often departing from the (interspecies) bodies, their inner experiences as well as the outer gazes. Her debut poetry book will be published in August this year. Her works have been shown in institutions such as Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, Galeria Arsenał in Białystok, Galeria Promocyjna in Warsaw, BWA Dizajn in Wrocław, Zachęta National Gallery in Warsaw or PATHOS in Munich. She is co-curator of the HER Docs Film Festival video art section and the performance program The Discomfort on Evening at the Zachęta National Art Gallery, as well as a co-author of poskończoności podcast on posthumanist, feminist, decolonial perspectives for our everyday.
