Brno AiR, Open Call for FaVU BUT graduates

The Open Call is open to all graduates of master's and/or doctoral studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Brno University of Technology (FaVU BUT). The deadline for applications is June 8, 2025.

Brno AiR OFFERS:
a monthly stipend of 20,000 CZK (gross), i.e., 40,000 CZK in total;
a studio within the residential space of the House of the Lords of Kunštát;
accommodation at the House of the Lords of Kunštát;
theoretical support;
an exhibition at G99, produced by Brno AiR, in 2026;
technical support from the Brno House of Arts (Dům umění města Brna, DumB) and FaVU BUT.

CONDITIONS:
active participation in the Brno Artists in Residence program;
submission of a final report.

HOW TO APPLY:
The application deadline is 8 June 2025 (inclusive).
Applications must be submitted via the online application form.
Note: A portfolio and a motivation letter explaining your interest in the residency and outlining your artistic goals (leading to the final exhibition) are mandatory parts of the application. The portfolio must be submitted in PDF format, with a maximum file size of 15 MB. Larger files (e.g. videos, animations, etc.) must be accessible online via links provided in the portfolio.

SELECTION AND ANNOUNCEMENT OF RESULTS:
The resident will be selected based on submitted applications by a committee composed of representatives of BUT and Brno AiR.
The results will be published on the BUT and DumB websites by the end of June 2025.
The selected resident will also be notified via e-mail.
