Artist Talk: Zlata Ziborova

We cordially invite you to an artist talk with Zlata Ziborova, who is currently visiting the Brno Artists in Residence programme at the House of the Lords of Kunštát.

Zlata Ziborova is an intermedia artist, a graduate of the New Media 2 studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. During her studies, she had internships at the Royal Academy in Antwerp, the visiting studio of the Academy of Fine Arts and UMPRUM. She is interested in ecofeminist and posthumanist theory, queer ecology and interspecies relations.

Her artistic practice moves between personal experience and collective narrative, thereby attempting to reshape traditional views of the body and its role in art and society. In her installations and performances, she works with organic waste, collaborates with bacteria, yeast and animals, and uses materials produced by her own body. He connects themes of production, sustainability and intimacy, transforming biological materials into poetic reflections on the relationship between the human and the more-than-human world.

Her exhibitions were hosted by Pragovka Gallery, Edel Extra in Nuremberg, Labirynt Gallery in Lublin, AVU Pop-up Gallery, Studio Prám, Museum and Gallery in Prostějov, Světova 1, Gallery sam83 and others.

The event will take place in the premises of Vašulka Kitchen Brno and will be held in Czech language.
