Art museums in Ecuador: a Czech-Ecuadorian case study

Contemporary art of Ecuador is varied as is the functioning of the cultural institutions. We are honored, as taller latino, to have the artist and co-director of the Trude Sojka House Museum (Casa Museo Trude Sojka) Gabriela Steinitz Fonseca taking part in the presentation. The theme of the presentation is the management of galleries and art museums in Ecuador. For this presentation, we also have the support of Hugo Calle Forrest, President of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) of Ecuador.

A brief presentation on the art history of Ecuador will be introduced by Hana Fickerová and Tamara Conde from taller.latino.checo.

Christian Rivadeneira, President of CzEcuSpol (Czech-Ecuadorian Association based in Prague) will talk about the cultural relations between Ecuador and Czech Republic.

The presentation will be held for Ecuador and the Czech Republic at the same time and will be conducted in English.
