Oliver Musovik on his work and the art scene in Skopje

Oliver Musovik (MK), a resident artist of the House of Arts, will introduce in his lecture his work, especially photographs, typified by rich narration and explorations of both places and everyday life, in the context of today’s post-socialist, post-Yugoslavian Macedonian society. In the second part of the lecture the artist will focus on the activist art scene in Skopje which has in recent years developed in opposition to the authoritarian regime (until the beginning of 2017), and will introduce the activities of the KOOPERACIJA initiative and other contemporary artists. The lecture will be held in English.
