Aleš Čermák, A Performative Language

Aleš Čermák (*1983) graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and his artistic output is connected with the film, theatre and literary environment. This range offers him an interesting confrontation regarding communication between viewer and artist. He is interested in how the two parties correlate and inter-relate a one and he same level. The viewer enters a particular element from his own point of view, sensitivity and co-creates the actual storyline. Aleš Čermák will pose the question of the meaning of communication in today’s society and of language itself. He is the founder of an independent publishing house Ausdruck Books and his latest projects include a five-part work in progress project entitled A Citizen or A Thing, which is based on the theme of man excluded from society. Curator: František Kowolowski.
