The work of Lubomír Typlt, a graduate of the University of Applied Arts in Prague, the Faculty of Fine Arts in Brno and the Düsseldorf Kunstakademie, oscillates between two positions - his expressive large-format figurative paintings contain elements of absurdity, sarcasm and humor, their utopian mechanical constructions are reminiscent of Dadaism. In his most recent work, these two planes are synthetically interwoven thus creating a new semantic reality which remains open to varying interpretations of content.
