A joint presentation by Richard Healy (b.1980, resident in London), Jiří Maha (b. 1986, resident in Prague) and Richard Nikl (b.1987, resident in Prague) at the Jaroslav Král Gallery; it is no coincidence that it takes place at the same time as the Otto Zitko and Pavel Hayek exhibition. The relationship between the two exhibitions, just like that between the artists, is not to be seen at first glance. Whereas Zitko and Hayek work from a nature-based and natural framework, the Healy-Maha-Nikl trio of artists start from the relatively opposite side - design, industry, craft - that is, an artificial, civilised framework. But both methods lead to a particular structural milieu which creates a world of new relationships which are not subject to the laws of the contemporary social hierarchy or use them only as allegory and reference, not running so much at the level of form, but rather revealing themselves in the manner of thinking and method.
