Nina Mikušková (*1991) graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Brno, the Body Design studio headed by Lenka Klodová (2010-2017). In the course of her studies she acquired experience at the KASK, Belgium (2013) where she studied documentary photography. At the Zagreb Academy (2015) she focused on socially engaged art and in Dundee, Scotland (2015) on the public space. At the beginning of 2017 she returned from a work stay at the CCA in Glasgow where she had collaborated with the curator Viviana Checchia on the Public Engagement programme and on the preparation of an exhibition of socially engaged art.
Her works often explore everyday life, communities, and induce participation. The artist is interested in the blurring of the differences between art and life as a method for the raising of engagement in everyday life.
The artist is currently devoting her attention and time to the Björn civic association and to the socially engaged BEEN THERE TOGETHER game.
