Exhibition opening Burian – Křivinka, Petr Pelčák, Rusín & Wahla Buildings and Designs 2009–2019

The exhibition will present the work of three leading architectural studios from Brno. Aleš Burian, Gustav Křivinka, Petr Pelčák, Tomáš Rusín and Ivan Wahla belong to the generation which started their professional career at the turn of the eighties and nineties and very soon was given a chance to design and build on their own. Architectural works by Burian, Křivinka, Pelčák, Rusín and Wahla are well-known to people living in Brno: they include important university buildings (the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University, the Faculty of Informatics of Masaryk University and the Faculty of Information Technology of Brno University of Technology), healthcare infrastructure (the Diagnostic Pavilion of the Masaryk Oncological Institute), a number of residential buildings and clusters, reconstruction of important heritage monuments of modern architecture including the flagship Tugendhat House, as well as several favourite cafés and the urban planning for Zelný trh square. Deservedly, the built projects designed by the exhibiting architects have received a number of awards at home and abroad and several nominations for the European Award for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award.

We would like to notify visitors that attendance of the exhibition opening will be possible only with a face mask due to current coronavirus measures.
