Originally from Brno, photographer Vojta Dukát lives in Holland. An award-winning photographer for the prestigious Magnum Photos agency (1974, 1976), he will for the first time be exhibiting in the Czech Republic his collection of photographs from the 1970s to the 1990s. His work is linked with the humanistic orientation in photography - in various places around the world he seeks out situations which capture interpersonal relations, the links of man to living and inanimate nature. Dukát's photographic images arise at the instant of the optimum situational constellation, where the visual interpretation of the motif amplifies his own motif, his affirmation of the timeless values of human life.
