The TRANSFER exhibition project is an attempt to introduce contemporary Czech painting. It does not aim to cover the whole scope of painting expressions existing on the contemporary Czech visual art scene, but it attempts to show the four most important trends in figurative painting coming from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. It follows painting in the past two decades, as it was forming on the academic grounds within the range of relations between teachers and students: the basic idea of the exhibition is the notional transfer of tradition in the form of principles taken over by the students from their teachers, and carried on as a message of expression.
