Radovan Čerevka (b.1980) is a representative of the youngest artistic generation from Slovakia, who uses various media and formal means to conduct a critical investigation into current social and political phenomena. His work has a strong ironic tone to it, as well as a critical edge. It might be called art with a political cast to it. The artist is also a member of the Kassaboys artistic group, active in Košice. In 2011 they were in the final nominations for the Oskar Čepan Prize in Slovakia, the counterpart to the J. Chalupecký prize in the Czech Republic.
