The author was born in Prague in 1974, has lived in Vienna since childhood, and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna in the W. Damische studio in 1994. Her style of painting recalls modular structures. She uses multispatial design objects made from strips of asphalt or PVC tiles and other found materials, ready-made from fragments of our consumer culture. She often uses carpets in light blue and white, tiles in retro designs from the seventies and eighties: materials whose surface and design show textures that were used by the pop-art artists.
