Zdeněk Fránek achieved unprecedented media interest after 2005. From a nearly unknown architect in Brno who was perceived as a follower of the Hungarian organic architect Imre Makovecz, within a short time he became one of the Czech architects most published in foreign media. This unprecedented attention was caused primarily by the “villa under the red hill” in Brno, the multifunctional Eucon Building in Prague, and the completion of the Castle in Velké Opatovice. The ideological divide was completed in 2010 with the chapel of the Church of Brethren in Litomyšl. The exhibition presents the current activities of the studio, but the main theme is the heart of architectural work: the creation of space.
