Photographer, media artist, publisher and author writing from Berlin not only about photography - Andreas Mueller-Pohle is one of the major personalities in this field. He is active as editor-in-chief in the magazine European Photography focused on contemporary photography and new media, which he also founded in 1980. In 2005, within the framework of the magazine he gave rise to the Eye-Mind initiative, allowing people to consult, develop and discuss the work of particular photographers. In 1980 he was one of the first to define and present the term visualism and in 1986 he published the first ever electronic book. His best-known work includes the projects presented under the title of "River Project - The Danube River Project (2005-2006), Hong Kong Waters (2009-2011).
